Based on Mansfield Road, Blidworth Fire Station is part of the Service's North Group – which also includes Ashfield, Mansfield, Hucknall, Warsop, and Edwinstowe - and serves the communities in and around Blidworth.
The station is staffed by on-call firefighters, who provide fire cover to the Blidworth area alongside other full-time jobs and family commitments. Each member of the crew at Blidworth carries a pager with them and responds from home, or another place of work, whenever required.
To ensure their skills are kept up-to-date for when they are called to emergency incidents, the crew trains at the station one night a week.
