Ashfield Fire Station

Location

Sutton Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17 8HX

About

Ashfield Fire Station is part of the Service's North Group and serves the communities of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Sutton-in-Ashfield, and surrounding areas within the District. The Station is located on Sutton Road and was opened on 9 May 1988.

There is a specialist vehicle-based at Ashfield Fire Station - the high volume pump. This was, initially, part of the New Dimensions Programme introduced in 2003 to provide specialist assets to deal with local, regional, and national emergencies. When attending incidents it is supported by a unit from Newark Fire Station and crewed by RDS personnel from a number of North Group fire stations.

Ashfield Fire Station is actively involved with a number of local safety initiatives, working with multi-agency partners to provide education, safety advice, and support to the community.
