Bingham Fire Station is a Retained Duty System station crewed by local people on an 'on-call' basis.
The team at Bingham train on a Thursday evening from 7 pm to 9 pm and provides cover around their 'day jobs'; this may be daytime, evening, and/or weekend cover.
The fire station in Bingham was built in the early 60s to replace the previous station which had been located in the back yard of Bingham Rural District Council's buildings on Station Street. The previous fire station had been there for a large part of the 1940s and 50s.
