Collingham Fire Station

Location

Baptist Lane, Collingham, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG23 7LT

About

Collingham Fire Station, which can be found on Baptist Lane, was built in 1969.

Collingham is a retained station with 15 staff in total who commit their spare time to support their community on an 'on-call' cover system, with one Watch Manager, two Crew Managers, and nine Firefighters. Collingham is also part of our High Volume Pump response for large-scale flooding and large incidents including National major incidents.

These staff provide cover on a twenty-four-hour basis each day of the year; crewing one fire appliance that allows us to cover Collingham and other communities. Station-based staff regularly take part in charity events, such as hosting a car wash, bike rides, and other events.

Collingham firefighters also like to be seen out in the community and show their faces at events whenever they're invited, like May fairs, village and country shows, or any other local event that would like support.

The crew drills every Wednesday night, either on station with their facilities or at another station, or even off station to practice in more rural environments.
