Carlton Fire Station is based on Manor Road, Carlton, and is staffed by wholetime firefighters spread across four watches, Red, White, Blue & Green.

Carlton Fire Station covers an area of 63.5km2 responding to an average of 365 emergency incidents per year whilst continuing to carry out Prevention and Protection activities. The services Out Reach vehicle is also housed at Carlton Fire Station which attends pre-planned Community Safety campaigns and initiatives to provide reassurance, support, and guidance to all our communities

Carlton has one pumping appliance and is also the backup appliance to the Environmental Protection Unit, which is a joint resource with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue service. The Environmental Protection Unit is equipped with resources to help deal with most hazardous material incidents where an environmental risk is likely.

The station has an extensive training capability, both practically, in the form of a fire training house and theoretically in the form of classrooms, meeting rooms, and an IT suite. These facilities can be utilised by other stations in the county.
