Partnerships and Community Engagement

The Service has been working hard to develop its understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion for a number of years now. As an employer, we work hard to ensure that everybody feels welcome in the organisation. This means doing things differently for people, and developing inclusive employment policies and workplaces. The diversity of our workforce is also something which we will continue to improve to reflect the communities we serve.

When delivering services, we are also committed to making these accessible and inclusive. This might mean understanding the neurodiversity of our services users and how this might affect them during a Safe and Well visit or understanding how someone’s faith can affect how they want to be treated by firefighters in an emergency situation.
