We are excited to announce that we will be recruiting to all of our 16 On-Call Fire Stations: Ashfield, Bingham, Blidworth, Collingham, East Leake, Eastwood, Harworth, Hucknall, Misterton, Newark, Retford, Southwell, Stapleford, Tuxford, Warsop and Worksop.

Our On-Call Firefighters around the county provide an efficient and effective service that gives emergency cover 24/7, fitting their firefighting role around a primary job and their family commitments. They are paid to respond to emergencies whatever time of day, and are notified via a personal pager which they carry with them when on duty. They are also paid to train and, when needed, carry out work within their community.

This role is open to anyone who lives or works within close proximity to an On-Call Fire Station - if you want to know more about the role, then please contact your local Fire Station.

Over the next six weeks we will be hosting events where you can come along to have a go and see what the role of an On-Call Firefighter is all about - details on these will be posted on our social media channels soon.
