International Women's Day

Posted by Carol Mee on 08 March 2022

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service isĀ supporting International Women's Day and has been encouraging its female staff to take part in a range of development events.

The Service is committed to increasing the number of female firefighters it employs and to helping them progress into senior roles.

It has also set up a Women's Network, which works collaboratively with a similar network at Nottinghamshire Police to tackle various issues affecting women in the workforce.

Information about IWD is available on the International Women's Day website (opens in new tab).
