First tri-service business safety workshop

Posted on 02 September 2022

Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service came together to host free fire safety workshops to help those who own, manage or have responsibility for fire safety in commercial premises, understand their duties and meet the legal obligations under the Fire Safety Order 2005.

The sessions are designed to give businesses a better understanding of a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment, legal responsibilities, testing and maintenance procedures, what to expect from a Fire Safety Audit and the potential outcomes thereafter.

Over two Workshop's on Thursday 1 September we had around 180 people that tuned into a presentation from all three services.

Feedback has already been received, where viewers said it was extremely informative and worthwhile.

Luke Cook, Business Education Advocate, said: "This was our first tri-service session and it was a huge success. It was a great opportunity to work with our colleagues from Derbyshire and Leicestershire and we look forward to hopefully doing it again soon."

The workshop was recorded for others to watch at a later date and has now been put on YouTube.

A huge thank you to all attendees!
