NFRS Shortlisted For Five Excellence In Fire And Emergency Awards

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) is proud to announce they have been shortlisted for five awards at this years' Excellence in Fire and Emergency (EFE) Awards, including Emergency Service Of The Year.
Other nominations are:
- Team Of The Year: NFRS Corporate Communications Team
- Training Provider Of The Year: NFRS Service Development Centre Team
- Most Influential LGBTQIA+ Individual In Fire: Sophie Winterbottom, NFRS Business Safety Advocate
- Outstanding Contribution To The Fire and Rescue Service: John Buckley, former Chief Fire Officer
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Excellence in Fire and Emergency Awards, and the ceremony is being held on Friday 6 December 2024.
Fire Knowledge Director Christine Hicks said: “We are delighted to be holding our tenth anniversary Fire & Emergency Awards, an event which has taken its place as a nationally recognised celebration of achievements within the fire and emergency services. Every year we receive incredible nominations that recognise the hard work and commitment of these services and individuals, and applauding these at the awards ceremony in December is a very special occasion.”
Chief Fire Officer Craig Parkin said: "I am extremely proud of Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service for this national recognition. So much hard work has gone on within our Service especially in the past year, including being rated 'good' in our latest HMICFRS Inspection, and receiving these five nominations is a great end to an amazing year.
"These nominations are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Service, and indeed, it reflects our commitment to keeping our communities safe."
