Cat rescued from duct of car bodywork shop oven

Posted on 04 October 2022

Firefighters from Stockhill Blue Watch have successfully rescued a cat that had become trapped in a car bodywork shop's oven duct system.

We were called on Wednesday 14 September 2022 around 4pm to a bodywork shop in New Basford, Nottingham.

The owner of the business had heard the cat crying from within the pipes and it is believed that the cat could have been there for days it was freed.

Firefighters were assisted by the RSPCA and used small tools to rescue the cat.

Once the cat was freed it was checked over and appeared to be unhurt but was sent the vets for a check-up.
