Posted by Jacob Collier on 09 September 2022

Chair of the Fire Authority, Councillor Michael Payne, and Chief Fire Officer, Craig Parkin, have written to His Majesty The King expressing our condolences following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Your Majesty,

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of your mother, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who dedicated her whole life to the service of our country and Commonwealth with immense distinction.

Her late Majesty was a steadfast supporter of the work undertaken by fire and rescue services, and we give thanks for her enduring commitment to our work.

On behalf of the Nottinghamshire and City of Nottingham Combined Fire Authority and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service we send our deepest condolences to you and the entire Royal Family.

God Save The King.

Councillor Michael Payne, Chair of the Nottinghamshire and City of Nottingham Combined Fire Authority
