    Answer: - £6,000
  2. names of courses approved and the fund amount supporting each approved course
    Answer: - 7 courses approved with awarded amounts ranging from £375-£1012.90. Please note the full cost of the course is not fully covered by the bursary, NFRS allocate funds for only part of the costs.
    • Level 4 Certificate in Fire Safety (Fire auditors) (£1,839)
    • Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Management Practice (£1,545)
    • Applied Coaching Science (£2,952)
    • Business Management. 10 credits at Level 7 (will use towards building a PGCert) (£750)
    • CIMA’s CGMA® Operational Level (E1, P1, F1 & OCS) (£2,025.80
    • NEBOSH National General Certificate (£798)
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Q65 (£3,636) (Withdrawn as of 11/10/2024)

    • Key areas are outlined in the application process for applicant and line manager.
    • Line manager support – is it a thorough supporting statement outlining the business case.
    • Does it support the individual’s development and how will it benefit the Service.
    • Service funds 50%. Funding up to a maximum of £2000.
    • Given the small budget for all bursaries, the cost and quality of applications have to weighed up to establish best use of the budget for the number of applicants in any given year.
