Do you have AEDs (defibrillators) in your service?
Answer: - Yes
If yes, where are your AEDs stored? (e.g. in Fire vehicles, inside the stations or outside of the station in a cabinet)
Answer: - All frontline operational vehicles and outside stations.
How many AEDs do you have?
Answer: - 64 in total, 40 on vehicles and 24 at our stations.
What make & model are the AEDs please?
Answer: - iPAD SP1 for our vehicles, stations have various.
How old are the AEDs or what year were they purchased?
Answer: - For vehicles, they vary from 1 to 4 years old, the oldest was purchased in 2020. For Estates, no information held, this information is held by Community Heartbeat Trust who own the items, we only house them and perform routine checks.
When would you look to replace your AEDs?
Answer: - No information held, there is no information recorded on when we would seek to replace our AEDs.
Who in your organisation deals with the maintenance of equipment such as AEDs?
Answer: - For vehicles our Engineering Department, our Estates Department only performs routine checks. Community Heartbeat Trust owns and performs their own maintenance.
Who is in charge of purchasing equipment such as AEDs?
Answer: - Engineering Department for our vehicles only through the Procurement Department who provides guidance and assistance.
Where do you purchase AEDs from?
Answer: - Community Heartbeat Trust and Wel Medical Ltd.
