NFRS 2024 41 - Pride Month

This is an information request relating to Pride Month 2024.

Please include the following information:

  1. Whether any events have been organised for Pride month. If so, please provide the date, start and end time, and title/topic of the event
  2. Whether any LGBT themed merchandise has been purchased for Pride month.i.e. since the beginning of the 2024/25 financial year. If so, please provide me with information on what has been purchased and the cost
  3. Whether the organisation have sponsored any Pride events. If so which events and please provide details of the nature of the sponsorship (particularly thefinancial value)

Our Response

  1. Whether any events have been organised for Pride month. If so, please provide the date, start and end time, and title/topic of the event
    Answer: - 4 events relating to Pride have been organised.
    • Notts Trans Pride on Saturday the 15th of June 2024 from 10am until 1:30pm.
    • Pride Skate at the National Ice Centre scheduled for Saturday 29th of July 2024 from 2:30pm until 4:30pm.
    • Worksop Pride on Saturday the 13th of July 2024 from 10am until 6pm
    • Nottingham Pride scheduled for Saturday the 27th of July 2024 the time has yet to be confirmed though expected to be similar to Worksop Pride.
  2. Whether any LGBT themed merchandise has been purchased for Pride month. i.e. since the beginning of the 2024/25 financial year. If so, please provide me with information on what has been purchased and the cost
    Answer: - No Information Held, no LGBT themed merchandise has been purchased we have instead use or intend to use items with NFRS branding that we use for other events we attend.
  3. Whether the organisation have sponsored any Pride events. If so which events and please provide details of the nature of the sponsorship (particularly the financial value)
    Answer: - NFRS hosted the first ever UK FirePRIDE event which took place on Tuesday the 14th of May 2024. This took place at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham and cost £4,413.41 for the room, equipment hire and food etc. However, this payment is being split 3 x ways between Cornwall and Hertfordshire FRS.
