Recommendation made for the next Chief Fire Officer
Posted on 03 December 2021
Yesterday (Thursday 2 December), the Appointments Committee of the Combined Fire Authority met to consider candidates for the post of Chief Fire Officer at Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The Committee recommended that the current Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Craig Parkin, should be appointed to the role when the current Chief Fire Officer, John Buckley, retires in April.
This recommendation will now be considered at the next full Fire Authority meeting at 10.30am on Friday 17 December, where a report will be presented for decision.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is grateful to members of the Fire Authority who have supported the recruitment process.
