Update 15:30
Parts of the industrial site in Ranskill continue to burn following the fire on 5 August.
If you live locally and are affected by the smoke please keep your doors and windows closed.
We are maintaining a presence on-site during daylight hours and will be out in the community this week speaking to local businesses and residents.
We will also be meeting with partners this week to discuss options going forward.

Update 14:00
We are still on scene at Ranskill but with two fire engines. One fire crew is actively firefighting and salvaging property, with the help of nearby businesses. The other crew is creating fire breaks to prevent the spread and protect the surrounding environment.
There is still a significant smoke plume which is blowing towards Ranskill and the train line. Trains have been asked to reduce their speed and residents should keep windows and doors closed if they see or smell smoke.
The site is partly operational and we have worked to support those affected along with BT and Western Power.
We expect to be here for several more days making the area safe.
The support we have received from the local community has been incredible and we would like to thank everyone who has shown their support to us.
We will do all we can to keep you safe.

Firefighters have made significant progress in tackling the fire with a fire break successfully holding to stop spread to nearby businesses and properties. We still have five fire engines on scene.
Due to a change in wind direction, smoke is blowing towards local villages, and it is looking to change again this evening so those who live and work in the area, or can see or smell smoke, need to have doors and windows closed.
We continue to ask people to avoid the area unless we have been in contact to allow access to a business or property.

Nottinghamshire Police have launched an appeal for information after they suspect the fire was started deliberately.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 240 of 5 August, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Crews from across the county have been fighting the fire at Ranskill overnight and will continue to do so throughout the weekend.
We would like to thank our neighbouring fire services (Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, and Lincolnshire) for their support during this incident as well as our Police, EMAS and Environment Agency colleagues. We would also like to thank local businesses and the community for their patience and understanding for the disruption of the fire has caused.
Local road closures remain in place, and we ask people to avoid the area if possible.
If affected by the smoke please stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed.

Thousands of tyres are on fire, causing a large black smoke plume to be visible from miles around.
We currently have 14 fire engines on scene, along with a water carrier, Command Support Vehicle, Welfare Unit, Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) and High Volume Pump (HVP).
Area Manager Andy Macey, the incident commander, said: "Thank you to our partners in Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire fire and rescue services for their support.
"We ask the public not to gather near the scene as they put themselves at risk and hinder us in our work.
"We are likely to be on scene for some time so we thank the public for their patience."

Crews continue to tackle the fire in Ranskill. We are being assisted by Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Services.
Two people who were staying on site are being treated by EMAS for smoke inhalation.
There have been reports of a number of people gathering at the scene, please stay aware from the area and allow our crews to resolve this incident safely.

We're aware that large groups of the public are gathering near this fire.
Please stay away from the area for your own safety as crews continue to arrive and tackle the fire. Large quantities of smoke are issuing from the scene.

Our Joint Control room is receiving lots of calls about this fire due to the large smoke plume.
We are aware of the incident and fighting the fire.
We have 10 appliances either on scene or on the way, including Mansfield's Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP).
We were called at 10.23am to a fire on an industrial site in Ranskill. Thousands of tyres are on fire and a large black smoke plume can be seen from surrounding areas.
We currently have nine fire engines and the Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) on scene. We are being assisted by Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The public should avoid the area and close windows and doors if they see or smell smoke.
