Fire at Village hall in Gotham, near Ruddington

Update 7pm
We have scaled down the incident to one fire engine from East Leake Fire Station.
A fire investigation will take place tomorrow into the cause.
We want to thank local residents for their patience.
Update 2.05pm
The fire is mostly extinguished but we are likely to be on scene for another few hours while we deal with hotspots and make the building safe.
There is fire damage to the whole of the building, which includes the library and GP surgery.
No one has been injured.
We ask residents to keep windows and doors shut if they can see or smell smoke.

We are currently dealing with a fire at the village hall in Gotham, near Ruddington. There are five fire engines on the scene and the Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP). We’re asking all residents of Bidwell Crescent and Wodehouse Avenue to keep their windows and doors shut due to smoke and for the public to avoid the area whilst we deal with this incident.
