Condolences following tragic events in Oxford

We stand with our Fire Service family at this sad time following the incident at Bicester Motion Site last night.

Chief Fire Officer Craig Parkin said, “On behalf of Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, and from me personally, I would like to express our deepest and most sincere condolences. Our hearts go out to the family and friends mourning this tragic loss of the two firefighters and local communities, as well as to the colleagues at Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue who have been deeply affected. Please know that we stand with you in this time of sorrow, offering our support and solidarity” 

“The news of this event is a sobering reminder of what we expect our colleagues to do every day.”

Cllr Audra Wynter, chair of the Fire Authority, said: “I would like to extend my condolences and sympathies with the wider fire family following this tragic event at Bicester Motor site”.
