Awards evening recognises staff and members of the public
Posted on 25 November 2022

On Thursday 24 November we held our annual awards evening at the Albert Hall in Nottingham.
The evening gives us an opportunity to recognise extraordinary acts of bravery and courage of members of staff and the public, along with rewarding staff for the contributions they have made in service to our communities.
We were joined by the Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire Sir John Peace and Chair of the Fire Authority Councillor Michael Payne.
Chief Fire Officer Craig Parkin opened the evening by paying tribute to the young family in Clifton who were tragically killed in a house fire and conveyed that the thoughts of everyone in the Service remain with the family and friends of those involved. Craig went on to thank everyone for attending and expressed how proud he was of all the winners and the work we do as a fire and rescue service.
The award winners included presentations of the 20-year Long Service and Good Conduct medals and 30-year clasps, along with:
The Chief Fire Officer's certificates and commendations
