  • I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Lee to my watch in Sheffield, at the start of his Fire Service career. Taking him under my wing, we had an instant bond, he was such an easy person to work with. Always happy, always laughing, and always good to have by your side. I have many, many fond memories of working with him. I bumped into him randomly while on holiday in the Lake District a few years ago, and that same happy, smiling friend was instantly there. A quote springs to mind when I think of him: “He who stands with me shall be my brother”. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Sadly I will be unable to attend his funeral due to work commitments, but I will be by his side again in spirit. Rest well, brother. - from Andy Blades - 19 November 2024

  • Incredibly sad and devastating to lose such a lovely man. Lee - the nicest, kindest, funny, cheeky man full stop. Always ready with a friendly word and smile. His positive and charismatic personality absolutely pure gold and very infectious. If he could see the shock, sadness, love felt by all who knew him he would probably say 3 things - Omg. F***. Blimey. The photo he sent \'view from my office\' RIP XX - from Kelly - 30 October 2024

  • Absolutley devastated to hear this sad news, my heartfelt sympathies to Cheryl, family and friends. Lee was the epitome of a top lad, a brilliant mate and an excellent firefighter. The word Legend is the best way I could describe him, it was my privilege and honour to have served and stood along side him and have him as a friend and like so many, will miss the laughs and antics we used to have, some of my greatest memories are with him. Rest easy my Brother Marsy - from Sean Marsden - 23 October 2024
