In an Emergency

Fire Survival Guidance

Nobody wants to experience a fire in their home, and nobody ever wants to be trapped by one. However, should the situation arise where you and your family are awoken in the middle of the night by your smoke alarm, and smoke is beginning to fill the house, there are a number of steps you can take to stay safe.

Blue Light Road Safety Advice

When on a ‘blue light’ journey our crews need to get to their destination as quickly, and safely, as possible. To do this, we rely on the co-operation of other road users as much as possible.

Emergency SMS Service

If you have difficulties with speech or hearing, you can register for the emergency SMS service, which will send a text message to the relevant UK emergency (999) service.

Flooding and Weather

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has an important role to play in protecting local people in the event of a major incident.
This could be a man-made event such as an explosion at an oil refinery or a train crash, or it could be a natural disaster such as severe flooding, high winds or a prolonged period of hot, dry weather.
