About Us

East Leake is part of the south group of stations within Nottinghamshire, and is crewed by a retained, otherwise known as 'on-call' crew, who live in the local area.

The station has one engine, one medical response car, which is used for supporting EMAS to medical emergencies, and an Animal Rescue vehicle. These vehicles are crewed by 17 staff, made up of Watch Managers, Crew Managers and firefighters.

The primary area covered by the station is the south Nottinghamshire Soar Valley villages of East Leake, West Leake, Normanton on Soar, Sutton Bonington, Kingston on Soar and Gotham.

Being very close to the southern boundary of Nottinghamshire East Leake station is often called into support Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service in Loughborough and the northern Leicestershire area.

When required, the vehicles can also be used in the city and other parts of the county if needed.
