Based on Rosemary Street, Mansfield Fire Station is part of the Service's North Group and serves the communities in and around the Mansfield District.
The station is staffed by four Wholetime Duty System (WDS) Watches. Each of the Wholetime Duty System Watches comprises of one Watch Manager, two Crew Managers and seven Firefighters.
The WDS Watches crew one standard fire engine and provide fire cover twenty four hours a day, every day throughout the year. They also crew one of the Service's Aerial Ladder Platforms which can be deployed anywhere across the county when required. The station is also home to a Command Support Vehicle which can be called to support Incident Commanders at large incidents.
The station is also a hub base for several departments as well as being home to the operational crews. The Service's Community Safety, Fire Protection and Enforcement and Fire Investigation Teams are all based at Mansfield, as well as the North Admin Team, a Prince's Trust Team and the East Midlands Fire Investigation Dog, Dexter.
Within Mansfield Fire Station is also the Mansfield Fire Museum, which contains a range of historic items.
