Staff raising buckets for charity during car wash month

Staff from across the county have been washing cars this month as part of the annual Fire Fighters Charity National Car Wash League.

Every year hundreds of fire stations across the UK compete against each other to wash as many cars as possible and raise as much money as possible for the charity.

The winners will not only raise tens of thousands of pounds to support injured firefighters, but also bag themselves the prestigious Car Wash Trophy.

As well as raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity, crews have also been raising funds for other good causes, such as the Team Karen Land Appeal and the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, in memory of Seth Bartle.
