Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking to recruit a highly motivated professional on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. You will have recent, relevant experience of providing Health, Safety and Environmental advice within a large, high risk employment situation.
The successful candidate will contribute to the work of the Risk and Assurance Team by providing health, safety and environmental risk management advice, guidance and support to line managers. They will also be expected to foster a positive safety culture where proportionate risk controls contribute to the efficiency and safety of the Service.
It is an essential requirement for the post-holder to hold or be actively working towards a NEBOSH diploma or NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety and IEMA Certificate in Environmental Risk Management or have relevant recent experience. You will also need to have the ability to interpret complex information, while possessing excellent communication and inter-personal skills at all levels using tact, diplomacy and negotiating skills when necessary.
