Service marks Deaf Awareness Week at training exercise with Nottinghamshire Deaf Society

Have you ever wondered how we help people at incidents who are part of the deaf community?

Some of our crews took part in a training exercise alongside East Midlands Ambulance Service and members of the Nottinghamshire Deaf Society at a training exercise aimed at testing and developing communications at a road traffic collision.

The exercise, held at Highfields Fire Station on Thursday 9 May, saw volunteers who were deaf or hard of hearing act as casualties in a four-car collision.
