The coronavirus pandemic
and the need for us all to stay at home in order to save lives has meant that
changes have had to be made to how Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service
conducts its business. This includes how meetings are arranged, and how the
Service is governed through the Fire Authority and its committees.
During the coronavirus
pandemic, the Government has temporarily removed the legal requirement for
local authorities – including fire and rescue authorities (FRAs) - to hold
public meetings in person. This means that councils and FRAs have new powers to
hold public meetings virtually by using video or telephone conferencing
technology.
The Fire Authority’s Policy
and Strategy Committee will meet remotely on 1 May 2020, via video conferencing.
The meeting will be streamed live on our YouTube page and will also be
available to watch later.
You can access the NFRS
YouTube site here.
Committee papers are available on the Nottingham City Council website prior to
the meeting.
