New Assistant Chief Fire Officer

Nottinghamshire is to get a new Assistant Chief Fire Officer later this year after Nottinghamshire and City of Nottingham Fire Authority approved the appointment at their meeting today (Friday 28 February).

Candida Brudenell will join the Service on 1 June 2020 after a 30-year career with Nottingham City Council, where she rose to the position of Assistant Chief Executive and Corporate Director of Strategy and Resources.

Candida underwent a rigorous selection and interview process carried out by the Fire Authority’s appointments committee earlier this month.

Chief Fire Officer, John Buckley, said: “I’m pleased to welcome Candida to the NFRS family and look forward to working with her on future projects the Service has in store. It is an exciting time for her to be joining the fire sector and I’m sure she will enjoy the challenge, as well as bringing with her a wealth of public services experience gained during her time with the city council.”
