NFRS campaign for BAME communities to get their vaccine

At Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service we are campaigning to encourage BAME communities to step up and have the COVID-19 vaccination.

The roll-out of vaccinations began nationally to help stop the spread of the virus and we want all BAME communities to take advantage of the vaccination.

In Nottinghamshire, people aged 65 and over are now being contacted to book in for their vaccine.  If you are over 65, you do not need to wait for your letter to book your COVID-19 vaccination appointment.  Book via the local booking site or call 0115 883 4640 between 9am and 5pm or call 119 to book an appointment at the Mansfield Vaccination Centre.

The coronavirus vaccine is safe and effective, giving you the best protection against the virus.  If you want to find out any more information about COVID-19 and the vaccination please visit the NHS website.

Watch the video of the Service coming together to urge BAME communities in Nottinghamshire to take up the vaccine when they are contacted for it.  The video features a message in English, Urdu, Polish, Punjabi, Hindi, Miripuri and British Sign Language, which make up our communities in Nottinghamshire.

We also have individual videos which relays the same message in English, Urdu, Polish, Punjabi, Hindi, Miripuri, German, Italian, Hebrew, Russian, British Sign Language and Swedish.
