A 74yr old male
has been taken to hospital, after being involved in a domestic gas explosion at
his home in Leyton Crescent, Beeston this yesterday.
The explosion was
caused by a gas hob.
He is believed to
of suffered severe burns, but is in a stable condition at Nottingham City
Hospital.
The Investigation
is ongoing between Nottingham Fire and Rescue Service and the Police.
Area Manager,
Damien West said: “This incident is a timely reminder for people to regularly
have their domestic appliances checked and to ensure that they have working
smoke alarms in their homes.
Fire safety in
the home is particularly important as we head towards the Christmas season,
where we often see an increase in cooking related incidents.
