Fire Authority 11 September 2020

The coronavirus pandemic and the need for us all to stay at home in order to save lives has meant that changes have had to be made to how Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service conducts its business. This includes how meetings are arranged, and how the Service is governed through the Fire Authority and its committees.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the Government has temporarily removed the legal requirement for local authorities – including fire and rescue authorities (FRAs) - to hold public meetings in person. This means that councils and FRAs have new powers to hold public meetings virtually by using video or telephone conferencing technology.

The Fire Authority will meet remotely tomorrow, 11 September 2020, via Zoom, and the meeting will be streamed live on our YouTube page as well as being available to watch later.

You can access the NFRS YouTube site here. Committee papers are available on the Nottingham City Council website prior to the meeting.
