22/08/2021

‚ÄčIn the early hours of Sunday 22 August 2021, crews were mobilised to a fire in an industrial unit on Stapleford Road, Trowell.

At the height of the incident we had 12 fire engines in attendance as well as two Aerial Ladder Platforms (ALP), a water bowser and a High Volume Pump (HVP).

We were supported at the incident by Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service. We also worked with partner agencies on site including Public Health England, Severn Trent Water and the Environmental Agency.

Group Manager Andy Macey said: "We have been at the incident on Stapleford Road since the early hours of the morning.

"I want to thank everyone on scene for their hard work this morning, and a big thank you to Derbyshire and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Services for their assistance and support.

Stapleford Road was closed in both directions but has since reopened.

The fire is out and a fire investigation is taking place on Monday morning (23 August) to investigate the cause.
