Armed Forces Week 2021

22/06/2021

Monday 21 June marked the beginning of Armed Forces Week, which includes Reserves Day on Wednesday 23 June and ends in Armed Forces Day on Saturday 26 June.

Some stations will be flying the Armed Forces Day flag throughout the week in support.

Armed Forces Day is a chance to show support for the Armed Forces community: from serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.

Area Manager Damien West represented us at the Nottinghamshire Armed Forces Day flag raising ceremony at Nottinghamshire County Hall.

Speaking after the ceremony, Area Manager West said: "I am really proud to represent Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service and be here today as a Gold Award employer.

"This event marks the start of our celebrations as a Service in thanking the Armed Forces community for all they do to keep our communities and country safe."
