Based on Jubilee Road, Arnold Fire Station is a part of the Service's South Group and is crewed 24/7 on a four Watch basis (Red, Green, White and Blue). There are 28 personnel permanently stationed at Arnold with five personnel on duty at any one time. There is also a Point of Contact Station Manager who has overall responsibility for the management of Arnold Fire Station, along with two other stations in South Group.
In addition to our fire engine, the Service's Command Support Vehicle is based in Arnold 50 per cent of the time, with responsibility shared equally with Mansfield Fire Station. The Command Support Vehicle is a transit-sized van. This vehicle is mobilised to larger incidents and is equipped with satellite communications, full weather and mapping applications, radio equipment and numerous white boards to allow a pictorial representation of an incident ground to be reconstructed. These boards are then used to support briefing sessions for oncoming fire service personnel and multi-agency partners.
