Two fire engines from Stockhill were called at 7pm to reports of a gas leak on Radford Boulevard.
Seven people were evacuated from two properties as a precaution whilst firefighters checked the gas levels.
Two people were taken to hospital.
Cadent were called to cap the gas in both properties.
Firefighters had left the scene by 8.48pm.
