Incident Description

Crews from London Road, Carlton, Stockhill and Mansfield were called to the scene of fire in a shed which had spread to two detached houses.

A 50 metre cordon was put in place due to a gas mains leak. This was isolated and made safe by the gas board.

Four kittens were rescued by firefighters. Three hose reels, one main jet and one aerial ladder platform, two short extension ladders and a thermal imaging camera were also utilised.

Firefighters had left the scene by 6.25pm, although an inspection of the property was carried out later in the evening.
