Fire - Bateman Gardens, Bobber's Mill, Nottingham08/09/2019 20:40

​Crews from London Road were called at 8.41pm to a three storey house fire on Bateman Gardens, Bobber’s Mill.
 
The fire was located in the kitchen on the ground floor and is believed to have been caused by a faulty cooking appliance.
 
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Two people were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
 
The incident had been dealt with by 9.30pm.

Leakage - Radford Boulevard, Radford, Nottingham08/09/2019 19:00

​Two fire engines from Stockhill were called at 7pm to reports of a gas leak on Radford Boulevard.

 Seven people were evacuated from two properties as a precaution whilst firefighters checked the gas levels.

 

Two people were taken to hospital.

 

Cadent were called to cap the gas in both properties.

 

Firefighters had left the scene by 8.48pm.

Leakage - Bramcote Leisure Centre, Derby Road, Bramcote02/09/2019 21:55

​We were called at 9:55pm and four appliances were mobilised to the leisure centre (Highfields, Stapleford, Stockhill and Hazardous materials unit from Stockhill). Also in attendance were East Midlands Ambulance Service hazardous response team, Nottinghamshire Police and Emergency Planning.
 
Twenty six people were evacuated from the centre and temporarily housed in the nearby Foxwood School whilst the incident was dealt with.
 
Following mixing of chemicals used in the everyday running of the leisure centre, advice was taken from specialists at the National Chemical Emergency Centre.
 
In dealing with the incident four breathing apparatus wearers in gas tight suites who used absorbent matts and ventilated the leisure centre before handing it back over to the centre managers.
 
Two people were checked over by EMAS on scene and one person taken to hospital by EMAS as a precautionary check-up.
 
The incident was dealt with by 00:18.

​Crews from Newark and Tuxford attended the scene of a rescue on the River Trent where a barge had become marooned.

Using two boats from the Service's Rescue Unit, two people and their vessel were brought to safety.

The incident had been dealt with by 10.12pm.

​Crews from Newark were called to assist police in rescuing a man who had fallen down a 15 foot ditch.

A rope system and basket stretcher was used to retrieve the man who received care from paramedics at the scene.

Firefighters had dealt with the incident by 1.45am.

A crew from Ashfield were called to extinguish a motorcycle tyre which had been deliberately set alight.

One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.

​Crews from Arnold and London Road attended the scene of a small fire inside a flat on Sullivan Close, Thorneywood.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The incident had been dealt with by 8.49pm.

No one was injured.

​Crews from Bingham, Highfields, London Road and West Bridgford attended the scene of a fire within the roof of a house on Flagholme, Cotgrave.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. A nine metre ladder and aerial ladder platform were also used.

Firefighters had dealt with the incident by 11.14pm.

​Crews from Edwinstowe, Newark and Highfields attended an incident where a van had become marooned in two feet of flood water.

One man was released by firefighters with specialist water rescue equipment  used to secure the vehicle and occupant.

Firefighters had left the scene by 12.19pm.

​Firefighters from Newark attended the scene of a road traffic collision on the A1 where one car had crashed into a ditch.

One woman was rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital by paramedics.

Crews had left the scene by 7.37am.

Fire - Earking Road, Mansfield01/06/2019 08:20

​Crews from Mansfield, Blidworth, Ashfield, Edwinstowe and Worksop attended the scene of a fire involving approximately 6,000 sq metres of gorse, undergrowth and trees.

The fire was extinguished by crews using a light portable pump, three jets and two dividing bridges.

Firefighters had left the scene by 1.33pm.

​Crews from Worksop and Edwinstowe attended the scene of a 3rd floor flat fire.

One person was rescued by firefighters using a 13.5 metre ladder before extinguishing the fire with one hose reel and a ventilation fan.

Firefighters had dealt with the incident by 4.10am.

​Crews from London Road attended the scene of a fire in a block of flats on Carlton Street, Nottingham.

The fire, located in a ground floor alleyway, was extinguished by crews using one hose reel jet and a ventilation fan.

Seven people were led to safety by firefighters.

Part of a furnace was damaged by fire. One hose reel, a nine metre ladder and a foam fire extinguisher were used to extinguish the fire.

​Crews from Newark, Southwell and Carlton attended the scene of a fire within a building of three floors used as shared office space.

The fire, which was located in the kitchen, was extinguished by firefighters using two hose reels, door breaking equipment and a ceiling hook.

​Crews from Harworth, Worksop and Retford attended the scene of a collision between three cars on Bawtry Road, Blyth.

Two people had to be rescued by firefighters using hydraulic cutting gear. Two other people managed to get out of the vehicle before fire crews arrived.

​Crews from Mansfield, Edwinstowe and Blidworth attended the scene of a fire within a three storey building.

Six firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used three hose reels to extinguish the fire.

All persons were accounted for.

An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.

​Crews from Stockhill were called to the scene of a fire in a flat on Keverne Close, Aspley.

One ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke and one man was led to safety by firefighters.

​Crews from Stockhill attended the scene of a two car collision on Ilkeston Road, near the junction with Norton Street in Radford, Nottingham.

One woman was rescued by firefighters using hydraulic cutting gear and taken to hospital by paramedics.

​Crews from Carlton, Arnold and London Road were called to the scene of a fire in a flat on Main Road.

On site staff managed to extinguish the fire and rescue one female before crews arrived. One positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke and first aid was given.

​Crews from West Bridgford and London Road were called to the scene of a collision on Cotgrave Road, Tollerton.

One vehicle had flipped onto its side. One female was released by the Service and taken to hospital by paramedics.

Fire - Baulker Lane, Blidworth30/04/2019 01:55

​Crews from Blidworth, Mansfield, Arnold, Edwinstowe, Ashfield and Stockhill attended the scene of a fire which destroyed approximately 70 caravans and motorhomes.

A further 50 caravans received heat damage. Three jets and four hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters had left the scene by 4.43am.

​Crews from Stockhill and West Bridgford were called to the scene of a house fire on Tilbury Rise, Cinderhill.

The fire was located in the kitchen, with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using one hose reel to extinguish the fire. A ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.

One 82-year-old woman was led to safety and treated for smoke inhalation at the scene and taken to hospital by paramedics.

Firefighters had left the scene by 9.40pm.

Fiver people had managed to get out of the vehicles before crews arrived. One person was rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital by paramedics.

​Crews from Retford and Tuxford were called to the scene of a house fire on Church Street.

One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire. One female occupant was led to safety by fire crews and received oxygen therapy and first aid.

​Crews from London Road, Carlton, Stockhill and Mansfield were called to the scene of fire in a shed which had spread to two detached houses.

A 50 metre cordon was put in place due to a gas mains leak. This was isolated and made safe by the gas board.

Four kittens were rescued by firefighters. Three hose reels, one main jet and one aerial ladder platform, two short extension ladders and a thermal imaging camera were also utilised.

Firefighters had left the scene by 6.25pm, although an inspection of the property was carried out later in the evening.
