Here you will find lots useful documents which you can use to help develop your fire safety.  Feel free to download and use needed.


You may wish to carry out your own Fire Risk Assessment. You can use this 5 step fire risk assessment recommended by the government to help develop your fire risk assessment.

We have produced a fire risk assessment template which you can use to record your own fire risk assessment findings.

We have designed a Microsoft Word version of the fire risk template which you can type directly on to and save to your own records.

We have also produced a completed version of the fire risk template which you may useful as a guide.

If you do not wish to carry out your own fire risk assessment you can hire somebody to do this for you.  There is guidance about how to choose a fire risk assessor here.

The government has produced a set of guidance books which give more details about making a fire risk assessment in specific premises.  They are freely available on-line.

To help you keep your records up to date we have produced a log book which you can use to record how and when you have carried out fire safety checks and maintenance.

If you have a temporary event then you may need to apply for a licence.  You can access the temporary event notice application form on-line.

You may need to calculate the occupancy of a room dependant on its function.  You can use this occupancy calculator as a guide to how many people you can safely get into a room.
