The Fire Authority operates a Members’ Allowance Scheme covering the allowances which can be claimed by Members (including Co-opted Members). These include basic allowances, special responsibility allowances and travelling and subsistence payments. Total allowances paid to members are detailed in this section.
The Authority has a policy setting out the principles governing the acceptance or declining of gifts and hospitality whilst carrying out duties in their official capacity or otherwise when they are representing the service. The policy requires the reporting of any gift or hospitality with a single or collective value of £25 including VAT. Any submissions are placed on a Gifts and Hospitality Register.
