Consultation on Council Tax

We are talking to local people about how much they should be asked to pay for fire and rescue services in 2012/13.

A Band D property resident is currently charged £69.69 per year and pays for this through their Council Tax. Three options are under discussion which includes keeping it at the same level, or increasing the charge. Decisions will be taken on 24 February

Seasonal safety

More than half of accidental fires in the home are started by cooking, and chip pans are a particular culprit. Replace your pan with a safer thermostatically-controlled deep fat fryer. And don't forget to test your smoke alarms regularly.
