Annual report
Our annual report reviews some of the key activities of the year gone by, and includes a summary of our performance and our financial position. Our report is published in September each year.
Fire Cover Review
A review of frontline fire cover across the whole of Nottinghamshire was produced in 2010, reviewing the risks and analysing data from five years' worth of incidents. The resulting report was presented to the Fire Authority in February 2011 and public consultation on proposals for service change arising from the review was carried out later in the year.
Separate data reports have been produced for each district (see Related Documents), for the whole county and for Targeted Response Vehicles (TRVs).
NFRS Plan 2010 – 2013
This document is also known as our Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP), and it guides our work over a three-year period. We consulted staff, partner organisations and members of the public on what should be included in our plan during summer 2009, and this document – published in April 2010 – is the result.
The Plan describes the challenges that face our Service, it sets out our corporate objectives and then describes the work we will be doing in order to achieve them. We have tried to make this document as easy to follow as possible by answering ‘what’, ‘why’ and ‘how’ and ‘when’ for each of our activities.
An eight-page A5 summary version of our Plan is also available.
Single Equality Scheme
The requirement to publish an Equality Scheme is laid out in various Acts of Parliament. Our Single Equality Scheme covers all six ‘strands’ protected by legislation: race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation and religion or belief.
It shows that we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all our staff and everyone who lives within our county. In effect, it is our strategy and action plan for eliminating discrimination, and promoting equal opportunities and good relations between people of different groups.

Statement of Accounts (with Annual Governance Statement)
The Authority’s annual Statement of Accounts reports the financial position of the Authority at the end of the year, and transactions during the year. It is subject to external audit and shows the income and expenditure account, balance sheet and the firefighters’ pension fund account, with supporting notes.
The Annual Governance Statement, which is published with the Statement of Accounts, shows our governance arrangements, explaining the purpose of the framework.
