About us
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) looks after more than one million people who live, work, visit or travel through our county every day.
A team of over 1,000 people support this work from a variety of locations, including our fire stations, headquarters, training and development centre and our driver training school and workshop.
We are run by the Nottinghamshire and City of Nottingham Fire Authority and the local councillors (our Members) who are elected to its various committees.
Much of our work is carried out in partnership with other organisations who are working towards similar aims and we have important close links with local authorities, other emergency services and the voluntary and charity sector that help us to make great progress locally.
