The Fire Authority
Nottinghamshire and City of Nottingham Fire Authority is responsible for ensuring its Fire and Rescue Service has the people, equipment and training needed to carry out its duties in relation to:
- fire prevention.
- fire safety.
- firefighting and rescue.
- road traffic collision extrication and rescue.
- other emergency rescue activities, eg responding to flooding or terrorism.
- Appointments Committee.
- Best Value Review Board.
- Community Safety Committee.
- Equalities Action Group.
- Finance and Resources Committee.
- Human Resources Committee.
- Performance Monitoring Committee.
- Personnel Committee.
- Policy and Strategy Committee.
- Standards Committee.
Meetings are held at our Nottingham Headquarters and the public are welcome to attend (although you will not be able to ask questions), apart from when confidential or personal information is being discussed. These are usually the last items on the agenda.
On-site parking, access for people with disabilities and an induction loop for people with hearing difficulties are all available.
