West Bridgford Fire Station
West Bridgford station has a wholetime section only.
West Bridgford has one fire engine and the Incident Response Unit (IRU).
The Incident Response Unit (IRU) is a specialist vehicle which is ‘jump-crewed’. This means that if it is requested, one crew will move their fire kit across to the IRU and go to the incident with that vehicle.
In addition to providing an emergency response in the Rushcliffe area, the station also responds to two wards within the city, namely Clifton and the Meadows.
The station also hosts Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Equipment section.
The station forms part of the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service South Group, which includes Bingham, Highfields, Stapleford, Eastwood, Arnold, Carlton and East Leake.
